tobaccoandleather said...: i think it's because i don't use the image uploader on the post editor. i resize the images to 1000 pixels wide, save them at that size, upload them to imageshack.us and then paste the html codes in. that way they are posted whatever size you uploaded them as. that should work!

i also edited the html of my blog template to get the side panel narrower to make room for bigger pictures, but i can't remember how i did it now! A lot of guess work and trial and error!
